How do I set my gender and who I’m interested in on the app? 

Inner Circle is an inclusive community and we give you the tools to choose how you identify, and who you are interested in seeing. 

Can I choose who I see in the app?

Yes, you can adjust this at any time from the filters menu.

Filters are located at the top right of the screen.

Choose “I’m interested in” (men/women/everyone) and click the “apply filters” button after any changes.

How do I add or edit my gender?

You can edit your gender at any time from the profile tab (the far right tab on the bottom). Gender settings are within the basic info section of ‘edit profile’.

If “Man” or “Woman” doesn’t align with your gender, you can choose from a list of inclusive gender identity options under “more options”.

You can update your gender settings a maximum of 2 times in the app (if you need to change them again, you’ll need to contact support@theinnercircle.com).

Can I set who sees me in the app based on my gender?

Yes, we want you to be in control of how you identify and who you would like your profile shown to.

If you specify that you identify differently to “Man” or “Woman”, you’re in control of who you want to see you in the app with the “show me to people interested in” setting.

Eg. If you identify as “Transgender Woman” and select, show me to people interested in “Women” - your profile will appear in searches for members who have specified they are interested in women.

Eg. If you identify as “Agender” and select, show me to people interested in “Everyone” - your profile will appear in searches for members who have specified they are interested in everyone.

Can I choose whether my gender is visible to others?

Yes, you’re in control! By default, we do not share your gender on your profile. If you would like to share your gender, switch the toggle to “on” from the gender settings page.

How is my gender displayed on my profile?

If you choose to display this information, it will be visible in the “basic info” section of your profile along with your Nationality, City, School, etc.

How do you use this information?

While it’s required to select a gender, we only use this information to know who to show your profile to.
